I need to get out of the Valley, but at the same time my roommates will be gone all weekend. Tough life choices.

Silence
(This was written at the end of 2008 for a lady friend and I actually haven’t read it since then. So I thought I would share it.)
I want to tell you about one of my favorite discussion points. It’s much different than normal topics, but it’s quite simple actually, and it’s changed who I am. I want to talk to you about the silence. You know which one I am talking about. The one that can catch you off guard or simply put you at ease. Trust me I can’t stand the scary silence so that won’t be anywhere near this discussion.
For some reason it amazes me. Silence to me says more than you can ever say with words. Silence can be heartfelt, caring, and sweet. But it can also be so disrespectful that it makes you want to scream, thus breaking the silence.
I believe that special moments are defined by the silence. People use their lines to get someone to notice them or to keep a conversation going, but you know if a person is special by what they do in the silence.
The question that matters is when to use this silence. When do you speak? When do you laugh? and when do you simply look into some ones eyes and tell them everything they need to know by keeping your mouth shut?
You see silence surrounds us. It is constantly penetrating our lives. No longer is it just silent in the dark. That look someone gives you from across a crowded room, thats silence. The time we went to the temple lights and I softly grabbed your hand, that’s silence. Silence always speaks loudest in my mind.
So don’t be worried when I stay quiet for some time, or when I decide to stay out of a debate, because in reality my silence has said everything I wanted. My silence brings me peace, just as it does when I quietly gaze into your eyes. -
I honestly struggle to enjoy movies where couples cheat on each other. That’s just an excuse for a fucked up plot line.
